Ed Reams joined WHSV – TV as News Director in August of 2006. But Ed is no stranger to TV 3, he was the first Augusta County Bureau Chief for WHSV back in 1991 and 1992.
Ed came to WHSV from New Orleans where he worked as a reporter and anchor for eight years at WDSU – TV. Ed was inside the Superdome when Hurricane Katrina ripped off the roof. He was reporting live for CNN when rain and wind started pouring in through the damaged roof. Ed traveled all over the country covering stories for WDSU – TV. Many of his stories appeared on MSNBC and CNN.
Prior to New Orleans, Ed worked at WXIA – TV in Atlanta covering stories like the ValuJet crash in Florida and the 1996 Olympic Games.
Ed has also worked at TV stations in Raleigh, North Carolina and Roanoke, VA.
Ed lives in Harrisonburg and enjoys working out and sight seeing in his free time.
