David DeGuzman joined WHSV in April 2014 as the station's sports director.
He comes to the Valley after working at WAOW-TV, the ABC affiliate in Wausau, Wisconsin. During his time in America's Dairyland, David covered the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, including Ryan Braun's suspension and Aaron Rodgers' contract extension that made him the highest paid quarterback in the league. He also interviewed Nationals' pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, who is a Central Wisconsin native.
David has also had the privilege of working at two Olympic Games. He interned at the London Summer Olympics in 2012 and then worked as a Production Associate at the Sochi Winter Games in February 2014. He calls both events "once-in-a-lifetime experiences".
David originally grew up in New York City before earning his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. He's excited to be back on the East Coast after his stint in the Midwest. David has a passion for storytelling and welcomes any story ideas from the viewers.
