Title: Weekend Sports Anchor

Zac Choate is a St. Louis native, and he joined WHSV-TV in July of 2007. Before coming to Harrisonburg, he was at the NBC affiliate, KSHB, in Kansas City as the Associate Sports Producer.

He graduated from Avila University in Kansas City with a degree in Communications in May 2007. While in school, he interned with two great television stations.

He worked at the ABC affiliate, KMBC Channel 9 in Kansas City, as a news intern. A year later, He was a sports intern at KSHB where he got the privilege to cover the great sports teams in Kansas City.

Four months later, he was hired as the Associate Sports Producer. For two years, he produced daily sports reports on four radio stations in St. Louis, Missouri.

He loves every sport, but his true favorites are somewhat different from everybody else: soccer and hockey. Zac played soccer all four years at Avila University.

Being from St. Louis, he is a die-hard Cardinals, Rams, and Blues fan. In his spare time, he likes to watch sports, watch and quote movie lines, try to work-out and play the piano, and spend time with family and friends.

He is extremely excited to be in Harrisonburg and cover the great sports teams in the Shenandoah Valley.
