Meteorologist Kirk Clyatt joined WHSV in April 2007. He holds the seal of approval from both the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA).

Kirk brings a breadth of experience to WHSV. Prior to WHSV, Kirk also served as a Meteorologist at WB17 News at Ten in Philadelphia, Chief Meteorologist at WBRE-TV (NBC) in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton market and WNUV-TV (WB)/WBFF-TV (Fox) in Baltimore, Maryland where he was awarded two Emmys for "Outstanding Weathercast" in the National Capital Region.

Kirk actually started his broadcasting career in radio. In addition to the USA, he worked in the United Kingdom and Australia. He can still be heard in Melbourne, Australia on 3AW Radio where he is a U.S.A. reporter for their Breakfast Show.

Kirk was born in South Carolina, but was raised here in the Mid-Atlantic. "It's great to be back in a part of the country I know so well," says Kirk. He completed the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University, but gained much of his weather knowledge as an instrument rated aircraft pilot and a former aircraft owner.
