Moorefield senior fullback Andrew Boswell has a couple goals this year in regards to football.

One of those goals is to help the Yellow Jackets win a fourth-straight conference title.

"We lost the first game [of the season], and now we're starting to get on a roll," says Boswell. "I just think we're playing as a team, playing hard, and if we keep it up, I think we can go 9-1 or 8-2.

Another goal is to rush for more than 1000 yards.

"Watching Tanner Burns, the fullback before me, accomplish a 1000-yard season, I mean that would be great to accomplish."

Boswell's head coach says he's one of those tough, hard-nosed backs.

"He's a leader," says Josh See. "He's one of the strongest guys on the team. He's a late-game back because he'll hit you and a lot of guys don't want to hit him a second or third time, so when he lines up against you later in the game you're going to try to arm tackle him and you're not going to be able to."

In the classroom, Boswell holds a 3.8 GPA and says he'd like to study sports medicine in college.

"My sister is an athletic trainer and just seeing her work with athletes, I've shadowed her before, and I really like what she does," says Boswell.

"I don't know anyone that doesn't like Andrew," says teacher Jeremy Simmons. "He's respected by his peers, and that's because he's a great leader."
