You usually don't find too many students that say they love to go school everyday.
But Moorefield's Victoria Wright is one of them.
"I like to learn, and during the summer I get really bored," says Wright. "There's nothing to do at home. I'd much rather be at school with friends than at work.
It shows. Wright, who would like to be a pediatrician, has a 4.2 GPA and is involved in many extra-curriculars, which include the National Honor Society, and tutoring other students.
"She does what she does because she wants to, not because anyone has told her she needs to," says teacher Joe Sherman.
No one told her she needed to play every position on the volleyball court, but she does. Wright says she just loves the game.
"I like the adrenaline rush how you're always moving on a play," says Wright. "You have to always be thinking and on top of your feet."
"We will miss her next year when she graduates," says volleyball coach Connie Thomas.
They'll also miss her leadership. The team leader in kills is the Yellow Jackets' team captain.
"The other girls respect her, and they're willing to work hard because they see her working hard," adds Thomas. "She sets an example for everyone else to follow."
