J. Barkley Rosser, Jr. has been on the faculty of James Madison University since 1977, where he is Professor of Economics and Kirby L. Cramer, Jr. Professor of Business Administration. Having earned his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he is the author of 8 books and over 100 articles, book chapters, and book reviews, and also serves as editor of the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. He has served as an adviser to governing bodies at the local, state, national, and international levels, as well as having been a commentator in various media on economic affairs, ranging from local to international as well as in the blogosphere.
