For more than 50 years, WHSV has been part of your community. But now, TV-3 is growing, and soon we will have a lot more to offer, by signing on new channels.

In about a week, you'll be able to get TV-3 and the Valley's Fox on satellite via the Dish Network. WHSV is also launching a My Network affiliate as well as a newscast for viewers in the northern part of the Valley. It's an exciting time, but it hasn't come without some growing pains.

Tracey Jones, the General Manager of WHSV TV says after a lot of long hours, most of the problems have been taken care of.
"It has been pretty incredible, because everything has been replaced except for the walls surrounding the equipment

Along with TV-3 WHSV is launching The Valley's Fox, an affiliate of the Fox network specifically designed for viewers in the Shenandoah Valley.

And in a little more than a week, you'll be able to access these stations in ways you've never been able to get them before. "We are very excited because as of October 26th we will be available on the Dish Network as well as our Valley FOX, which we are very excited about," says Tracey Jones.

WHSV is also launching "My Valley" an affiliate of My Network. Right now, it's being offered on our digital channel 49.4, but that could soon change. "We are hopeful that the additional products will be available on cable, we're still talking but right now the BIG addition is the way to get us through dish satellite."

By the end of the year, TV-3 Winchester will be on the air, with separate newscasts for the northern part of The Shenandoah Valley.

WHSV wants to thank our viewers for sticking with us through these technical glitches, but by making these changes, TV-3 will soon be able to offer you much more.

We will also be adding a new 10 p.m. newscast by the end of the year to offer valley residents news a little earlier.
