As Sean Taylor's teammates mourn his death, the NFL player's family is gathering at Taylor's home in south Florida to grieve.

Outside a front gate, people have begun leaving flowers. And beside the mailbox, an untouched newspaper lay with news of Taylor's shooting.

Taylor's father, Pedro, who is police chief in Florida City, spoke with detectives about his son's shooting death, but had no additional information to offer.

He says he believes that the killer will one day "come to grips with himself" and turn himself in.

Taylor says, "We're all hurting," as he was embraced by friends and relatives.

Police have no description of a possible suspect and say they're still investigating whether the fatal shooting is connected to a break-in at Taylor's home eight days earlier.

Investigators were in and out of the house throughout the day Tuesday, and took a computer from the home.

Taylor was 24. He was shot early Monday in the upper leg, damaging a key artery and causing significant blood loss.
