The Justice Department is stepping-up its targeting of Internet users who prey on children.
The agency is announcing the creation of 43 new positions for prosecutors aimed at protecting young people from online sexual predators.
The Justice Department says it will spend $5 million on the new slots. The assistant U.S. attorneys are being funded through the government's Project Safe Neighborhood program.
Deputy Attorney General Mark Filip discussed the new positions in visits to some of the areas set to get a new prosecutor, including Charlotte, North Carolina and Lexington, Kentucky.
