Gasoline has hit a yet another record high, both in West Virginia and nationally.
According to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report, West Virginia's average for a gallon of regular hit $3.93 Monday while the national average climbed to $3.79.
The state's average a month ago was $3.59 and the year-ago average was $3.19.
According to AAA's survey of five Mountain State metro areas, the best gas prices can be found in Weirton and Wheeling, which are both averaging $3.86 per gallon of regular.
West Virginia's prices remain higher than any of its surrounding states, where averages range from $3.71 in Virginia to $3.86 in Ohio.
Two states have crossed the $4 mark. Alaska's average is $4.05 and Connecticut's is $4.03.
Crude oil touched a record $127.82 a barrel Friday.
