The House has voted unanimously to provide financial and tax relief to military personnel. The action comes as the Senate debates a major expansion in college education benefits for veterans.

The tax relief bill was one of more than a dozen bills the House was taking up before Memorial Day to help or honor veterans. The vote was 403-0.

Congress has been deeply divided over the war in Iraq, but lawmakers have consistently come together to improve the lives of those who have served in the military.
