Residents in Albemarle and King George counties are now eligible for federal disaster assistance to help recover from the Aug. 23 earthquake and its aftershocks.
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management said Wednesday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has added the two counties to other areas where individual assistance is now available.
The counties join Culpeper, Fluvanna, Goochland, Louisa, Orange and Spotsylvania counties and the city of Fredericksburg.
