If you haven't registered to vote in the November election, you have only hours left to do so.
New registrations must be in the local voter registration office by the close of business or postmarked by Monday.
The State Board of Elections says more than 300,000 new voters have registered this year. Of those, 42 percent are under the age of 25.
But election officials say Monday's deadline also is for updating old voter registration. Virginia voters are required to keep information such as their address correct and current.
Officials encourage voters to confirm their registration status and check to see if their precinct has moved. That can be done by calling the board toll-free at 1-800-552-9745 or by visiting its Website.
