A medical examiner has ruled that the death of a 13-year-old Manassas area girl whose body was found last month in a creek was a homicide.
Prince William County Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert said Wednesday that the medical examiner's report shows the cause of Alexis Glover's death was drowning and exposure to cold.
Glover's adoptive mother, Alfreedia Gregg-Glover, who told police that the girl had run away, has been charged with felony neglect and filing a false police report. Ebert says further charges against Gregg-Glover are "likely."
