Prince William County Police say a community college student upset about grades was aiming for his professor when he fired a rifle in a classroom full of students.
Police also say 20-year-old Jason Hamilton stopped firing after two shots because the bolt-action rifle apparently jammed as he tried to reload. He had purchased the rifle just a day earlier from a Dick's Sporting Goods store near the Woodbridge campus of Northern Virginia Community College.
Hamilton was arraigned Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a school zone. He is being held without bond.
Charging documents state that Hamilton pointed the rifle at assistant professor Tatyana Kravchuk and fired twice. She ducked behind a desk and was not hit. No one was injured.

I hope they lock him up for a LONG time. This is getting too frequent. I'm sorry to say that school shootings aren't even shocking anymore. To me they are, but all to common. We need to have extremely strict punishment and stop the "suspended sentence" part of any jail time. We are too weak! The parents are the problem in this age! They don't care... they are the me generation. It's very sad!
