Former University of Mary Washington President William Frawley will have a high-profile attorney in his corner when he's tried in Fairfax County.
Peter Greenspun, who defended convicted D.C. area sniper John Allen Muhammad, will represent Frawley when he's tried for driving while intoxicated.
Greenspun says he never asked for Frawley's case to be continued. The former president originally had a May court date, but that was postponed until July.
Now, he's not slated to be in Fairfax General District Court until September 21.
Greenspun says the prosecutor has asked for the delays.
Frawley was arrested in Fairfax on DUI charges on April 10th, and then again the following day in Fredericksburg near the university. He faces charges in both incidents.
He was fired as the school's president a few weeks later.
