Home sales continue to drop in Virginia. The Virginia Association of Realtors reports that home sales last month fell nearly 16 percent from June of last year.
The regions with the biggest declines in home sales in June were the Northern Neck with a 59 percent drop; the Eastern Shore at about 58 percent and Prince William at 37 percent.
Home sales improved in the Martinsville and Massnutten regions by 25 percent and in South Central Virginia by 20 percent.
The median sales price so far this year for a home in Virginia, meaning half the sales were higher and half were lower, was $249,950, compared to $239,900 last year.
