If you ever work for a DOD contractor there is no job security, layoffs will always happen. I know from personal experience Iv'e worked with 4 of them and they all layed off due to cutbacks or the contract was not renewed. The last one I worked for was bragging about how we can extend the contract up to 10 years if things went alright...wishfull thinking. One day the boss walks in the shop after 3 years and says the company has to cut 12 million dollars out of their budget in two weeks. So guess what happens next?? Bottom line if your looking for a perm job DOD contracting is not the way to go.

Wow, Northrup Grumman won a 10 BILLION dollar contract to run all the computers in the state of Virginia, with no penalties for defaulting on service. You mean to tell me that they couldn't find spots for these people? Great Virginia employer!
