RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- A Raleigh man has died after police used a Taser on him during an altercation.
Raleigh police say they were called to an intersection early Wednesday after reports of a man running naked through a nearby church parking lot.
Officers say 45-year-old Thomas Sadler became aggressive toward officers, who then used a Taser to subdue him. Sadler collapsed and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the case. Sadler was on probation after a 2010 conviction for a felony probation violation. In 2007, he had been convicted of felony speeding to elude arrest in Gaston County and felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction in Powhatan, Va.
