Appalachian Power says it could take several days to restore electricity to some customers in Virginia who lost power during a winter storm.
The company's website lists 9,560 outages as of Tuesday morning, including 2,400 in Roanoke County. Dickenson, Giles and Tazewell counties each have more than 1,000 outages.
There also are outages in Montgomery, Pulaski, Smyth and Wythe counties.
Sunday's storm dumped several inches of snow across the region.
