Va. Park Reopens Trails Closed after June 29 Storm

Douthat State Park has reopened trails that were closed by debris from the June 29 storm.

The Virginia Department of Recreation and Conservation says the storm felled and uprooted many trees in the park.

Crews from seven other state parks helped with the cleanup. They targeted heavy usage areas first.

The department said Tuesday in a news release that the storm didn't cause any structural damage or injuries.
