Could we have a late-season heat wave? Sunday, Harrisonburg hit 90°. It was the only day we hit that mark all month! We're forecasting highs near 90° this afternoon. Tomorrow on Tuesday we should have no problem hitting 90° or hotter! Remember to stay hydrated the next several days as it will not only be hot, but humid.
Expect sunshine and clouds today. Your Labor Day will likely feature a few hit and miss showers and storms, but overall these will be few and far between.
Tonight calls for mostly clear skies; warm and muggy with lows in the mid to upper 60s in many hometowns.
Expect hazy sunshine Tuesday with a slight chance of a storm late in the day. Again, it'll be hot with highs forecast in the lower 90s.
Warm and humid for the mid week forecast cycle. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy Wednesday and Thursday with warm and humid conditions. Highs are forecast in the mid to upper 80s.
A cold front will increase our odds of much needed scattered showers Friday through Sunday - but not as washout.
