Southeast Virginia residents are assessing the damage Tuesday from Monday's tornadoes that left more than 200 people hurt.
Governor Tim Kaine has declared a state of emergency. He will be touring the hardest hit regions Tuesday.
Three tornadoes smashed homes and businesses and tossed cars in Suffolk, Colonial Heights and Brunswick County. National Weather Service officials are on the scene at the storm locations.
Of the 200 injured, six were listed as in critical condition and six were listed as serious. In Suffolk, 125 homes and 15 buildings were listed as uninhabitable. City schools are closed as are several roads.
