Even the Rockingham County Fair got splashed by some rainfall Wednesday night, but it wasn't a deterrent to all the fun. The Sara Evans' concert and fair rides were delayed for a short time, but they shortly resumed normal operations.

Children of all ages continued riding rides, playing carnival games, and eating fair cuisine. The main difference was, this time, they had umbrellas.

Members of the Karunakaran family say, "We were indoors, but my sisters here were enjoying the rides outside even though the rain held things up for a little while. I did get a little wet, but it was still fun."

Cassie Clark and Brittany Ford add, "Even in the rain, the Rockingham County Fair rocks!"

The rain eventually subsided all together, and made for a cool, dry night at the fair.
