Firefighters to Help After Omar

A team of firefighters from Hampton Roads is heading south to help areas affected by Hurricane Omar.

Virginia Beach Fire Department Battalion Chief Dave Hutcheson says the 34-person team includes firefighters from across Hampton Roads. Hutcheson didn't know whether the team will go to Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Omar was quickly moving away from the northern Leeward Islands early Thursday after crossing over them as a major Category 3 storm.
