Summer is gone and fall is here, with freezing temperatures possible in a dozen West Virginia counties this weekend.
Freeze watches are in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday morning for Preston, Tucker, Pocahontas, Randolph, Monroe, Greenbrier, Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley, Jefferson, Hardy and Mineral counties.
The National Weather Service says temperatures could drop into the 20s in some areas.
The freeze warning also covers several counties in Virginia including Washington, Allegany, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Warren, Clarke counties.
