The National Weather Service is predicting a windy start to the work week in northern West Virginia.
The agency is calling for gusts as high as 50 mph Monday in Hancock, Brooke and Ohio counties. The forecast also covers Marshall, Wetzel, Marion and Monongalia counties. Cities covered by the forecast include Weirton, Wheeling, Moundsville, Fairmont and Morgantown.
The forecast says a strong cold front moving across the district Monday morning could bring the gusts, which are expected to die down by evening.
