West Virginia's higher elevations are now ablaze with the reds, yellows and goldens of fall.
The state Division of Forestry says the colors in Grant, Pendleton, Preston and Tucker counties range from 75 percent to 90 percent of peak.
Higher elevations in Pocahontas, Randolph, Webster and Greenbrier counties are at 70 percent peak.
The trees in the Mid-Ohio Valley and Charleston-Huntington corridor are starting to turn color, so division foresters say the best viewing this weekend is along the state's highest ridges.
The division says colors should be at their peak next weekend in Fayette County for the 30th anniversary of Bridge Day.
