Gov. Bob McDonnell plans to visit areas of southwest Virginia that tornadoes damaged a year ago.
McDonnell's office says the governor is scheduled to meet Friday with officials, responders and volunteers in Pulaski and Washington counties and tour the areas that sustained tornado damage last year.
Tornadoes struck Pulaski County on April 8 last year, injuring eight people. Four people died in Washington County when twisters struck last April 27.
