Wednesday as the colder temperatures settle in and the rain switches to snow, at least one local business will be cashing in.

Brian Mace owns a tree removal service business in Grottoes, but that business slows down in the winter months.

Where shoveling or plowing snow can be a hassle for many people, Mace says that's his time to stay busy.

Mace says, "When everybody else goes in and turns their tv on, that's when you go out and you stay out for 36 hours."

But those long shifts can be worth it.

So when business slows down in the winter, he turns to a little help from mother nature to keep his business going.

Mace says, "When you do not have any way to get out and get trucks in yards and do tree service work, you actually rely on the snow."

But sometimes a storm can wreak havoc on his equipment.
"A lighter snow is a lot easier to plow, the heavier snow does a lot more damage to your equipment."

The heavier, wet snow not only puts a strain on his equipment, but it can be a lot more difficult to move.
