Huntington is getting nearly $3.2 million from the federal government for housing and community development programs.

Rep. Nick Rahall says the funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will allow Huntington to expand its housing programs and services.

The funding includes more than $2 million to provide housing and expand economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income families. Another $92,296 will be used to improve the number and quality of homeless shelters.
