Police believe a man who held up a Charleston bank is the same one who has robbed about two dozen banks across the country over the last 15 months.
The Charleston robbery occurred Tuesday morning at a Summit Community Bank branch.
Police say the robber implied he had a weapon and demanded money from two tellers. He fled in a dark Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
Surveillance video led investigators to believe the man also robbed two branches of City National Bank in Kanawha County earlier this year. Officials also think he's responsible for more than 20 other bank robberies as far west as South Dakota.
The suspect is a white male with a beard, about six-foot tall, 200 pounds and between the ages of 35 and 45.
Sgt. Steve Cooper says the man is considered armed and very dangerous.
