Remnants of tropical depression Fay are lingering over West Virginia.
The storm was near Huntington Thursday morning and was heading in a northeasterly direction.
Fay has already produced an inch-and-a-half of rain in Parkersburg and more than an inch in Bluefield, Huntington and Wheeling.
The soaking is good news for southern counties experiencing abnormally dry conditions.
The National Hurricane Center says Fay could produce another inch or two of rain before it passes over the Eastern Panhandle and leaves the state Friday.
The storm dumped more than 27 inches of rain in parts Florida and caused flooding in low-lying areas in several southern states.
No flooding is expected in West Virginia.
