A Hedgesville man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in a Martinsburg woman's death.

Anthony Charles Juntilla also was found guilty Friday of first-degree sexual assault and conspiracy to commit sexual assault. A Berkeley County Circuit Court jury acquitted him of conspiracy to commit murder.

Co-defendant Fred Wayne Douty II of Martinsburg pleaded guilty to felony murder in June. Under a plea agreement Douty received a sentence of life in prison with the chance for parole after 15 years.

Prosecutors say the defendants sexually assaulted and killed 41-year-old Tina Marie Starcher on May 27, 2007. Starcher's body was later found in the woods near the Berkeley-Jefferson County line.

Juntilla's sentencing is set for October 27.
