An escaped convict from the Mount Olive Correctional Complex, who was free for two months before being caught, has been charged with robbing a convenience store while on the loose.
Thirty-six-year-old Robert Andrew Brady was indicted this week in Greenbrier County on one count of first-degree robbery. He's accused of brandishing a weapon and taking two cartons of cigarettes and cash from a White Sulphur Springs convenience store on January 7.
Brady escaped last November 29 and was captured January 31.
He is serving five years for escape and one to ten years for previous convictions of burglary, forgery and uttering, and fraudulently accessing a computer.
A former correctional officer pleaded guilty in July to permitting Brady's escape.
