Sen. Hillary Clinton is praising congressional challenger Anne Barth as the candidate who will break with the policies of the Bush administration.
Speaking at a rally Friday at the University of Charleston, Clinton called Barth the candidate of change.
The rally also featured a surprise appearance by Sen. Robert C. Byrd. The West Virginia Democrat shouted his support for Barth from the audience. Barth worked for Byrd for 21 years before challenging
Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, the state's lone Republican in Congress.
Clinton is a popular politician in the state. She trounced Sen. Barack Obama in the May 13 Democratic presidential primary by a margin of more than two-to-one.
