WV State Police Increasing Patrols for Holiday Weekend
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) West Virginia motorists heading out over the holiday weekend should anticipate seeing increased patrols on the state's highways in an effort to help keep travelers safe.

West Virginia motorists heading out over the holiday weekend should anticipate seeing increased patrols on the state's highways in an effort to help keep travelers safe.
Troopers will be participating in Operation CARE and in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Over the Limit, Under Arrest" campaigns.
State Police will focus on enforcement of laws involving drunken and reckless driving, speeding, seat belts and child restraints.
The enforcement period runs from Friday through Sunday.
