A Marshall University professor is asking the Faculty Senate to investigate why grades for West Virginia Treasurer John Perdue's daughter were changed without the professor's permission.
Emily Perdue needed to pass the courses in business education management to gain admittance to Marshall's business school.
Provost Gayle Ormiston said Friday that the grades were changed from incompletes to "A's" only after she completed the coursework.
Last spring, professor Laura Wyant gave Perdue two incompletes for the independent study courses. Ormiston says she completed the coursework over the summer under another instructor.
A spokesman for John Perdue said the treasurer was withholding comment about the matter until it is fully resolved.
