Man Charged with Arson for Smoke Hole Caverns Fires
PETERSBURG, W.Va. (AP)
A 24-year-old man has been charged with setting two fires that destroyed the gift shop and restaurant at a popular West Virginia tourist attraction, Smoke Hole Caverns.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with setting two fires that destroyed the gift shop and restaurant at a popular West Virginia tourist attraction, Smoke Hole Caverns.

Brent Combs of Cabins is charged with first-degree arson, second-degree arson and three counts of causing injury by arson.

They stem from fires set November 10 and 11

Combs was being held Friday at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail on a $285,000 bond.

Grant County sheriff's deputies say they don't know the motive for the blazes, which remain under investigation by the state fire marshal.

Smoke Hole Caverns is on Route 55 between Seneca Rocks and Petersburg.

I'VE NEVER BEEN TO SMOKE HOLE BUT I THINK I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT. WHAT A TERRIBLE THING. THIS YOUNG MAN NEEDS TO SEE THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW!!
