Mineral County health officials say a raccoon found in a Keyser neighborhood tested positive for rabies.
It's the second rabies case in the county this year.
John DelSignore with the Mineral County Health Department says residents shot and killed the animal March 1.
DelSignore says a dog that chased the raccoon will be confined for 45 days. Health officials don't believe the raccoon had contact with any humans.
