A federal judge has delayed sentencing for an Ohio man in a sweeping federal case targeting the Pagan's Motorcycle Club.
U.S. District Thomas Johnston said Thursday he has serious reservations about the factual basis for 51-year-old Steven "Creature" Stover's guilty plea.
Johnston says he has to scrutinize every plea entered so far in the case.
Stover had pleaded guilty in November to a conspiracy charge.
The Proctorville, Ohio, resident is one of 55 Pagan's members and associates charged in the case.
Separately, Wiliam D. Copen of Charleston pleaded guilty to a cocaine distribution charge.
The remaining defendants, including former national president David "Bart" Barbeito of Myersville, Maryland are awaiting trial in May.
