MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- Officials in Preston County say heavy snow has collapsed a barn, killing around 40 head of cattle, while the lone gas station in Terra Alto is out of service due to the snow.

President Craig Jennings of the Preston County Commission said Friday no one was injured during the barn collapse in Cransville, which occurred with the last 24 hours. The Terra Alta gas station was shut after the canopy over the pumps collapsed.

With the station's pumps snowed under, Terra Alta residents have to travel about 10 miles to the closest filling station. Again, no one was injured in that incident
