Harrisonburg Salvation Army reports employee has tested positive for COVID-19

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) — The Harrisonburg Salvation Army reports that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19, and all social services operations will temporarily be closed, except the food pantry.

According to a press release from the Harrisonburg Salvation Army, beginning on January 21, visits to the food pantry at 185 Ashby Avenue will have the following rules in effect:

1. There will be no admittance in the building.

2. You must wear a mask.

3. You must social distance.

The pantry will be open from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.

The Salvation Army says they have worked with local, state and federal partners to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, including enhanced safety, hygiene and sanitation processes.
