Dukes score 23 goals in blowout win over GWU
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - The No. 24 James Madison women’s lacrosse team defeated George Washington, 23-7, Tuesday afternoon at Sentara Park.
The 23 goals ties JMU’s highest single-game scoring output as a Division I program. 14 different players scored for JMU led by Isabella Peterson, Rachel Matey, and Kacey Knobloch, who each had three goals.
JMU’s dominant victory comes after a 21-1 over Wofford last Friday. The Dukes improve to 4-1 overall (0-1 CAA) and are scheduled to visit No. 1 North Carolina Sunday afternoon for a 3 p.m. start in a rescheduled game from earlier this season.
