HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - The Virginia men’s lacrosse team earned a win in the NCAA Final Four while the UVA baseball team lost in the ACC Championship semifinals Saturday afternoon.
UVA men’s lacrosse advances to national championship
No. 4 seed Virginia defeated No. 1 seed North Carolina, 12-11, Saturday in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. With the win, the Cavaliers advance to Monday’s National Championship game where UVA will meet No. 3 seed Maryland. The NCAA National Championship is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 31 with TV coverage on ESPN2.
UVA baseball falls to Duke in semifinals of ACC Championship
The No. 8 seed Virginia baseball team lost to No. 9 seed Duke, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the ACC Baseball Championship. The Blue Devils advance to Sunday’s ACC Championship Game while the Cavaliers now await their NCAA Regional fate.
