Makenna Leisifer is one of the Midday producers at WSAZ and produces the 6 p.m. weekend newscasts.
Makenna started working for the station in July 2023.
She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and is a proud Yinzer.
Makenna recently graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV., where she received her bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Sports Communication.
At WVU, Makenna was the producer of the public affairs show, "West Virginia Today", and the main producer for the university's newscast, "WVU News."
She is a proud Mountaineer and is so excited to call the Mountain State home.
In her free time, she loves to travel, craft, and spend time with her loved ones.

Several troopers from the Huntington and Wayne detachments were assisting the Kenova Police Department with locating a suspect who was wanted for committing a murder in Ironton, Ohio Late Saturday night.
