Amaiya Howard

Amaiya is a recent graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she double majored in Mass Communications and Theater.
She joined the WDBJ7 news team in May 2023.
Amaiya was an intern at CBS6-WTVR in Richmond, where she learned to strengthen her skills in reporting, writing and overall storytelling.
When she is not working, Amaiya likes to watch cooking shows, spend time with her kitten and talk with her family. She likes to connect with her community and build relationships with those she meets.
Amaiya was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She is thrilled to call The Star City her new home.
