Benjamin is from Chesterfield, Virginia, just outside of Richmond. Benjamin got his bachelor's degree in meteorology at Virginia Tech in 2019. Immediately after graduating, Benjamin went to work at WHIZ-TV in the town of Zanesville, Ohio. Benjamin decided to return to his home state and started working at WHSV in January 2020.
Benjamin is an avid sports fan and loves his Hokies and DC sports teams. If Benjamin wasn't a meteorologist, he would want to be a play-by-play announcer for sports. A fun fact about Benjamin is that his parents bought NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin's home coincidentally.
