Ethan Estrem

Ethan joined WHSV-TV in November of 2021 and served as the Evening and Nightside News Editor before switching to producing full time. He now produces the 5 p.m. newscast on weekdays.

Ethan's first experience with broadcast journalism came in high school, where he spent two years in his school's broadcast journalism class learning everything that goes into making a newscast happen.

Ethan was born and raised in Minnesota, having spent the first nineteen years of his life there before moving out to the Valley to attend James Madison University. He attended the college for two years before he withdrew from the university to focus on his passions in Theatre and Broadcast Journalism.

While in college, Ethan served as a journalist and the Technical Director for BreezeTV on JMU's campus.

In his free time, Ethan loves binge-watching Netflix, exploring the Shenandoah Valley and its many beauties, and scrolling on TikTok.
